Abstract

Scientific development is needed. One form of this development is integration between sciences. The purpose of this article is to offer Psychology of Islamic Family Law as one of the disciplines. The psychology of Islamic family law is expected to be able to analyze various problems in Islamic family law by borrowing psychological theories so as to give birth to new understandings that provide solutions and are comprehensive. Thus, Psychology of Islamic Family Law can be offered as a course in the Islamic Family Law Study Program at Islamic Religious Universities (PTKI) or become a source of insight for practitioners and the general public. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which is a research that describes the understanding of the concept of Islamic family law psychology based on literature studies (library research). The sources in this study are literature on psychology and Islamic family law. This data source is then analyzed to produce a discussion of the psychology of Islamic family law. The data processing method uses Jhon W Creswell's theory by coding the data and then analyzing it on the basis of description, exploration and understanding the data regarding the integration of psychology and Islamic family law. The results of the article found that the psychology of Islamic family law is expected to be a means for the realization of a family full of love, comfort, safety, peace and happiness in the hereafter. This is because the psychology of Islamic family law includes cognition, affection, and psychomotor of a person in a family that is not clear from the various existing provisions. Psychology of Islamic Family Law can also be offered as a course in the Islamic Family Law Study Program at Islamic Religious Universities (PTKI).
