Abstract
Every period of human life must always be hampered by various problems, both problems that arise within themselves or problems that are stimulated by someone's internal. Not a few people get demands on their lives. Not only family demands but individual responses and roles in social life. The demands that are often the main reference are the demands of marriage and having a job. Marriage and married life is one of the stages in the development of human life and in general a person gets married when entering early adulthood, namely between the ages of 18 and 40 years (Hurlock, 2000). This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. This study involved fifteen male and female respondents who were early adults (aged 20 to 31 years). Data were collected through interviews. Interview. From the results of this study it can be seen that the demands of marriage are problematic for early adults who are 25 years old and above. And also social statements and views are the cause of the demands for marriage. In addition, the past both in the form of events experienced and from movies watched has an influence on individual views on marriage.
