Adolescents' Coping Strategies in Dealing with Discrimination and Cyberbullying: Implications for Conflict Prevention Interventions in Schools

Abstract
Background: Conflicts experienced by adolescents are mostly experienced in the school environment. The most common conflict in the school environment is discrimination. The phenomenon of discrimination can continue into a form of cyberbullying as commonly found on social media. Handling the many cases of bullying that are increasingly mushrooming, one of the effective ways known is to apply coping strategies. This article will discuss what coping strategies are efficient in dealing with discrimination and cyberbullying issues. This research method is conducted by identifying, analyzing, reviewing and interpreting related research, using several keywords such as "Adolescent Coping Strategies, Discrimination, and Cyberbullying". Using PRISMA in describing Adolescent Coping Strategies in Facing Discrimination and Cyberbullying. Coping strategies that can be used to overcome discrimination and cyberbullying at school can be divided into two types, namely with a supportive environment and a psychological approach. The supportive environment includes parents and parenting, school, community, and government. While the psychological approach includes forgiveness, problem focused coping, emotions focused coping, emotional focus strategy, methods of stimulating conflict, methods of reducing conflict, methods of managing conflict, and other coping strategies. Based on the systematic literature review conducted, the dominant coping strategy used to overcome discrimination and cyberbullying in schools is forgiveness.
